How to correctly measure a child's foot.
Choosing the right size makes all the difference in comfort and foot development.
Measuring the foot correctly helps avoid returns, discomfort and wrong choices. At Koru, we use a simple and reliable method you can do at home.
What you’ll need
- A sheet of paper
- A pencil or pen
- A ruler
How to measure the foot (step by step)
- Place the child standing on a sheet of paper, with weight evenly distributed.
- Using a pencil, mark two points: at the heel and at the longest toe.
- Measure the distance between the two points.
- Repeat for the other foot (they may be different).
📏 What is the ideal margin?
Add between 0.8 cm and 1.2 cm to the foot length to ensure comfort and room for growth.
Check each product’s size guide to find the best fit.
Avoid the “one finger” rule it’s not accurate.
